make-magazine-rc

I'm in the latest issue of Make Magazine dedicated to Remote Control Everything. What makes me even more happy is that I've been featured with Wired editor-in-chief  Chris Anderson (who is a big fan on UAV drones) and I-Wei "Crabfu"  creator of Steampunk radio controlled masterpieces!

Thank you Gareth!

di Frankie (04/03/2010 - 20:54)

team-tekin-hotwire-iphone-app

Ok, today Apple released the iPad but it's still to early to throw out the iPhone if you are an RC cars freak like me. Team Tekin has just presented HotWire for iPhone: an application created to let Apple's mobile phone users fine tune the performance characteristics of their RC car Speed Control (ESC) without the need of a computer...

RC TOYS - Bombs for radio controlled airplanes and DIY UAV Drones

di Frankie (01/22/2010 - 14:36)

RTR Bomb System

Quanum’s R/C bomb system is plug-n-play and really easy to install on your RC model airplane. Simply connect the included servo wire to a spare channel on your radio and stick the bomb’s release pod to your RC airplane. It’s that simple!

The R/C bomb system splits in half to carry any payload you require and comes with an impact protector for added safety. The system includes a bomb release pod which securely holds the bomb in place and ensures a positive release every time!

Tamiya BMW Z4 TT01 Hatsune Miku - ITASHA RC CAR

di Frankie (09/12/2009 - 12:16)

OK, I like the HPI RC Itashas but this Hatsune Miku Super GT from Tamiya is like a dream come true! This is not technically an itasha since it the reproduction of a real GT Car sponsored by Vocaloid / Crypton and probably this makes the car even more interesting and with a bigger potential customers base...

RC Helicopter that fires BB Soft Air balls

di Frankie (09/29/2008 - 01:59)

(via Modellimo Hobbymedia) Last february, during the Nuremberg Toy Fair,  I tried a prototype of a super fan RC Hely that fires BB Balls (the same used by air soft gun replicas). Now the taiwanese company Wind Toys & Hobby as finally released it. The Falcon is Co-Axial so it's really easy to controll and can flight 8 minutes before you got to recharge the batteries. It's really fun to play with it indoor and in the garden but, since it uses BB balls, it's really important to wear the protection glasses...

The very first RC Model!

di Frankie (09/05/2007 - 00:34)

Today I was reading the new issue of the japanese magazine RC SPORTS and I found the very first RC model produced in the world: Radicon Bus. This toy has been produced in Japan during the mid 50s. Anyway Google told me that this bus pretty famous among toys collectors... Cool thing that in Japan the word "radicon" is still used as the equivalent of "RC".

GIAPPONE: SHIZUOKA HOBBY SHOW
