During Robone contests in Japan I saw many robot wearing anime character costumes, but this one spotted by Robot Watch is on a different level and I think is the first example of true robot cosplay (or maybe I'm just too much in love with Hatsune Miku...)

I just found this Hatsune Miku costume on Ebay. The quality is not great but it's preatty cheap (it's just  $45.99) so I think I'm gonna buy a special present to my girlfriend for St. Valentine!

I just found this Vocaloid 2 Miku custom version of the Sony Rolly SEP-10BT (the rolling robot that dances while playing MP3, ATRAC or AAC files). I think Rolly can't get any better!!

During Comiket I had the chance to meet Yuu Aine who will star in one of the Hatsume Miku ero parody AV DVD's that will be released in Febraury. She was cosplaying on the second day of Comiket 73 and she has definitely been the most popular Miku cosplayer of the day!!

Crypton and Cospa started a collaboration to create some Vocaloid 2 official gadgets and T-shirts. These products will on sale during the next Comiket in a booth located in the commercial area near the cosplay area at the upper floor.

Geek Note: it's interesting to note that the blogsphere has really changed the memesphere since digital culture giants like Wired has not yet get hit by the Miku/Vocaloid 2 meme when a Polish newspaper has already run a full page about it...

 

After the huge success of Vocaloid 2 "Hatsune Miku" (more than 25.000 units sold in 3 months) that stormed the Japanese music software industry, this week two new "manga" music products has been announced:
Audio Control 1 "Producer Pack" and Music Maker "Jam Band". The first one features an official collaboration with Crypton (Vocaloid 2 producer) and will be sold with an official Miku mousepad. Audio Control 1 an a high-end audio interface, with assignable buttons and a controller knob combined with advanced MIDI key commands, gives for full control of software applications (and of course can be integrated with Vocaloid 2).

"Jam Band" seems a customization of the popular Music Maker software from Magix.

NSFW (via 2chan): After the super successful porno parodies of Lucky Star and  Haruhi Suzumiya, TMA announced the release of the first AV dedicated to our super heroine Miku chan like another one instead produced by Ifrit (the actress doing the Miku cosplay is the sexy loli  star Yuu Aine - official blog / DMM videos / Dogma). This will be the very first time a porno produced around a virtual character!  Anyway, now I'm really curious if they will they add a "negi" sex scene (I bet on the Ifrit DVD since Yuu Aine has appeared in a couple of Dogma DVDs so she is going to be a pretty hardcoreMiku chan)!
Ops, I almost forgot that next Monday (December 3) is Aine chan birthday so we should all visit her blog and post some nice messages to our AV Miku chan!

The doujin circle Yoshiba Works ( from Miku Blaster fame) has just released a new game dedicated to Vocaloid 2 Miku chan. It runs on PC but got a 100% retro famicom style. Even the sountrack sounds pure 8 bit and I'm sure the (retro)game music fans will like it. I love the package designe parody of the original Vocaloid 2 box.

(via Gilcrows) Today Mikku Man X, a platform doujin mashup of Rockman and Miku chan, has been released.  This doujin game is pretty fun (among the enemies there is even Morrigan!) with a solid gamplay and great soundtrack (no Vocaloid 2 songs but a great arrangement of the original Rockman theme).
You can download the file here (but be patient since the server is overloaded with requests and it's not easy to download the zip).

Few days ago we posted a Miku (Vocaloid 2) mugen video. And finally the Miku character data for Mugen has been released!! (Wiki) Mugen is a freeware 2D PC fighting game engine designed by Elecbyte, written in C with the Allegro library. The engine was originally released in July 17 1999 and allows anyone to create characters, background stages and other game objects through interpreted text files, graphics, and sound compilations. It supports various types of audio formats and allows for most of the same type of functionality found in most any commercial 2D fighting games, up to and including close recreation of those games' characters and gameplay.

Maybe we should change the blog name to Miku hobby blog, but being a techno otaku I love  Vocaloid 2 virtual idols and I just ordered our 1/1 Negi "figure" (480mm×50mm×20mm) on sale on the japanese online otaku shop Tanomi.com  The creator of this plastic negi has even made a (doujin style) web page parody of the original Vocaloid 2 website.
If you prefer more "traditional" figures you can bid on this garage kit we spotted on Yahoo Auctions.

I love these Bikkuriman parody stickers ispired by our Miku chan! Today the japanese doujin illustrator Morihama has added the new Vocaloid 2 Virtual Idol Kagamine Rin sticker too... seems that this year I got to plan Comiket Guide well ahead to be able to collect all these Miku/Vocaloid 2 goods!

There are already two doujin soft for Nintendo DS dedicated to (Vocaloid 2) Natsune Miku. These DS homebrews has been released during Vocaloid M@ster event held last saturday in Tokyo. One is Mikutsun Vol.1 and one is DS Miku.

As reported by Zepy (via Moonphase)  Hatsune Miku manga called Hatsune Mix! will start serialization in Comic RUSH starting from the 2008 January issue. The author is going to be none other than KEI, the artist who did the original character design for Hatsune Miku.
